2. rode – past tense of RIDE
3. rowed – past tense of ROW (with paddles)
4. said-- past tense of SAY
5. scene – a section of a play or movie
6. seen – past participle of SEE
7. science

And don’t forget these:
8. cent – penny or coin
9. scent – an odor or smell
10. sent – past tense of SEND
11. cents – more than one penny
12. scents – odors or smells
13. sense – a certain feeling (see, hear, taste); to think intelligently
14. since – from a certain time (“Ever since that day…”)
15.since -- because (“Since you did that, you lose recess.”)

Homework: Jigsaw Puzzle – due Wednesday
• You will use all 15 words and definitions (use dictionary for #7)
• Write the spelling word on one puzzle piece (Click to download) and its definition on a piece that connects to it.
• THE WORD MUST CONNECT TO ITS DEFINITION.
• The words must be spelled correctly.
• Each puzzle piece must be a different color OR you can lightly draw a picture over the entire puzzle and color.
• Make sure you can still read the words & definitions when you color.
• Cut out each piece carefully & place in an envelope or zip-lock bag.
• Wednesday, you will trade your puzzle with a partner and complete at your desk.

one you spell wrong. You can’t forget how to spell them.
